AIMS South Africa is proud to offer a fully funded, one-year master’s program with a research component in AI for Science. This program made possible through a partnership with Google DeepMind, is designed to accelerate scientific discovery at the intersection of AI and the Sciences. The program started with its first intake of students in September 2023 and is now accepting applications for the 2024 intake.
To be eligible for this exciting program, you must be a resident of Africa and hold citizenship from any African country. You should have completed a four-year or three-year undergraduate degree with an honours year by August 2024. The AI for Science program is open to students who are fascinated by the world and the stars around them and are eager to use their talents to accelerate scientific discovery.
Suppose you are interested in applying for this program. In that case, you must submit a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter of around 500 words, academic transcripts, written mathematics questions, and a coding problem. The final round of selection consists of short online interviews in April 2024. The deadline for applications is March 29, 2024.
Forty students will be selected for the 2024 intake, and each will be supported at AIMS with a full Google DeepMind scholarship.
