Requirements for the Proparco Fellowship Program
Eligibility criteria for the program are as follows:
- Applicants must be investment professionals currently working in Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), or Private Debt, or those in finance looking to transition into these sectors.
- Candidates should be actively working in or with the African continent.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Applicants should have between 2 to 6 years of experience in PE, VC, or Private Debt.
- Availability to commit approximately 2-3 hours per week to the program is necessary.
Selection Process
The program is tailored for active professionals with mandatory bi-weekly webinars scheduled after working hours. The Fellowship is conducted entirely online and is free of charge. Commitment and rigour are expected from Fellows, given the high calibre of stakeholders involved. The time commitment is manageable, requiring a maximum of 2-3 hours per week over a 6-month period, which includes both mandatory synchronous webinars and optional asynchronous activities such as MOOCs and mentorship sessions.
