Discover an Unparalleled Opportunity with the African Development Bank Group Internship Program

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB), since its inception in 1964, has stood as the cornerstone for economic and social advancement across Africa. With 80 member states, including 54 African nations, the AfDB is committed to driving sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty by supporting transformative projects that enhance the quality of life. As part of its ambitious Ten-Year Strategy (2023-2032), the AfDB is focusing on five pivotal areas: energy, agro-business, industrialization, integration, and quality-of-life improvements. These areas are critical for accelerating the Bank’s impact on the continent.

At the heart of AfDB’s talent management strategy lies its Internship Program, designed to align with the Bank’s long-term goals and the High 5s agenda. This program not only offers students practical and professional experiences but also prepares a skilled pool of future candidates for potential career opportunities within the Bank. The Internship Program is a gateway for young professionals and students to contribute to and learn from the premier pan-African development institution.

The AfDB Internship Program, with an application deadline of May 7, 2024, is a partially funded opportunity based in Côte d’Ivoire. It is open to both men and women who are nationals of the Bank’s member countries and are enrolled in a master’s level program or have recently graduated. The program seeks applicants across a wide range of fields including Economics, Agriculture, Human Capital Development, and many more, with special consideration for projects aligned with the Bank’s mission. Interns may serve remotely or on-site, enjoying benefits such as medical insurance and a monthly stipend, for a period of three to six months starting from July 2024.

To apply, candidates must submit their CV by the deadline and follow the application process tailored to their current status, whether they are AfDB staff or external candidates. For any technical issues during the application, assistance is available via [email protected]. This opportunity is not just an internship but a stepping stone to making a meaningful impact on the development of Africa.
